AMAZING ART INSTALLATIONS
A giant 10' X 10' typewriter will be installed in the ABRAMS booth - design wizard Kevin O’Callaghan’s eulogy to the typewriter from his fall book, Monumental: The Reimagined World of Kevin O’Callaghan.
This photo was taken at an exhibition in Grand Central’s Vanderbilt Hall created by O’Callaghan’s students at the School of Visual Art. The typewriter will be assembled at the Jacob Javits Convention Center on Monday, May 24.
ABRAMS is also featuring a mural created especially for BEA by designer James Victore, whose book Victore or, Who Died and Made You Boss? will also be out this fall.
Victore has created a hand-lettered mural commissioned by ABRAMS into which he has incorporated book titles and authors on the ABRAMS fall list.

Nigel Barker, judge from TV’s popular America’s Next Top Model, will be doing photo ops, signing book covers, and talking about his fall Abrams Image book, Nigel Barker's Beauty Equation: Revealing a Better and More Beautiful You. Nigel will be in the ABRAMS booth from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. on Thursday and is available for interviews. |
