About the author
Tim Palmer has been a writer, photographer, conservationist, speaker, and consultant on behalf of the environment since 1970. He has received the National Outdoor Book Award, the Independent Publishers Book Award, and the Director’s Award from the National Park Service. His
California Wild won the Benjamin Franklin Award as the best book on nature and the environment in 2005. He has written and photographed nineteen books, including
Rivers of America, and lives in Port Orford, Oregon.
